May 3, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a Regular meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 8th day of May, 2024 at 9:30am in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve the minutes of April 5, 2024 Special meeting, April 10, 2024 Regular meeting, April 17, 2023 Special meeting, and April 24, 2024 Special meeting, of the Shelby County Commissioner’s Court.
2. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
3. Approve current payroll.
4. Approve Officers Report.
5. Public comments on Agenda item.
6. Presentation from the Shelby County Soil and Water Conservation District.
7. Discuss and possibly approve an increase in the County’s yearly contribution of $7,000.00 to the Shelby County Soil and Water Conservation District #449.
8. Discuss and possibly Adopt the Resolution in Support of the application for The Texas Historical Commission Courthouse Grant for Project Planning and Full Restoration Grants.
9. Discuss and possibly agree to grant the Texas Historic Commission a preservation easement upon the receipt of the Courthouse Preservation Program Grant.
10. Discuss and possibly approve the TIPS qualified quote from A-Lert Roof Systems for replacement and installation of a new roof system for the Courthouse Annex.
Executive Session
11. An Executive Session will also be held for the purpose of discussing personnel, hearing complaints against personnel, or to deliberate the appointed, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. The closed session is authorized by Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.074.
12. Reopen public meeting.
13. Discuss and possibly make a decision on issues discussed in Executive Session.
14. Adjourn.
